Alice Mae Luke was born March 6, 1931 in Ensley, Alabama to the late Mary M. Harris and Farris Luke SR. She departed this life on June 6, 2014 at Eastland Manor Senior Citizen Community Columbus, Ohio. She was baptized as a teenager at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Sharples, West Virginia. She was formally from Whitman, West Virginia and Charleston, West Virginia. She was a former member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church Whitman, West Virginia. She was Preceded in death by Two Brothers Edward Parnell and Farris Luke Jr; Three Sisters Willie B. Patterson, Fannie M. Lerebours and Estella Atchley; One Son James E. Luke; Two Grandchildren Ammonie Aho and Narayana Das Luke. She leaves to mourn Six Daughters Arnetta Haynes of Las Vegas, Nevada, Vickie L. Luke of Columbus, Ohio, Donetta Luke of Washington DC, Vanessa Y. Luke of Brandywine, Maryland, Angela A. Newhouse of Charleston, West Virginia, Tashi R. Woolfolk of Columbus, Ohio; Three Sons Anthony L. (Sandra) Luke Sr. of Lithonia, Georgia, Timothy J. Luke of Corpus Christi, Texas and Brian L. Luke of Huntington, West Virginia; 18 Grandchildren and 28 Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and Friends.

A service will be held at 1PM on Thursday June 12, 2014 at the Chapel of Edwards Funeral Service 1166 Parsons Ave., Columbus, Ohio. Family will begin to receive friends starting at Noon.
