In Loving Memory of Archel L. Ransom
Archel L. Ransom, age 88 was born June 11, 1933 in Shangaloo, Louisiana. Fell asleep in death at home on December 12, 2021. He Grew up in Coffeyville, Kansas. Upon graduation from the local High School, he enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1950. He retired from the Air Force in 1971 as a Master Sergeant, awarded Commendation Medal for outstanding skill, technical knowledge in equipment maintenance.
Preceded in death by parents, Willie Drew and Cloteal Ransom, sisters Jewel Loyd, Delores Smith, and Margaret Marion.
Left to cherish his memory, Loving wife of 60 years, Mary Frances Ransom, Brother, Curtis Harris of Topeka, Kansas, brother-in-law, Lester Marion of Coffeyville, Kansas and six children. Son: Connis Lane (Shiela); Daughters: Patricia Blackman, Debbie Buie (Clifford), Delcina Smith (Ronald), Cynthia Russel (Columbus), Barbara Ransom; Special grandsons David Ransom and Gregory Bryant Jr.; Special Granddaughter Peace Ransom; Special great grandson David Ransom Jr.; Special Great granddaughter Brandi Russell.; 16 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren. 3 Great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends, and Deborah Anderson as a special sister.
Archel Ransom was a faithful member of Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 40 years and was a ministerial servant for many years. He was a member of the Eastgate Congregation.
Retired from transporting and maintenance of heavy equipment in Ohio.
Well known for: Family man who loved his wife and children. Always willing to lend a hand to ones in need of assistance. Loved to fish and cook on the grill. “Jack of all trades”-could rig up anything! Enjoyed his retirement years. “Meticulous” record keeper; loved country western music and dancing!
The Family of Archel L. Ransom would like to thank everyone for their heartfelt expressions of comfort, support, and prayers. May Jehovah continue to bless and strengthen us all in this time of loss.
