Barbara Dement

Barbara Dement ,age 84, passed away on March 30, 2022. Barbara was born on August 30, 1937, in Athens, Ohio to the late Elwood and Evelyn Carsey.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Elwood and Evelyn Carsey, son-in-law Chuck - husband of Robin Burgett, step-son Artie Burgett, grandson Dustin Drenning, brother and sister-in-law Bill and Linda Byer, brother Mike Burgett, and sister Rachelle Monfort.

Barbara is survived by her children: Tracy (David) Hatfield, Becky (Joe) Dement, Robin Burgett, Ed (Mari) Burgett, Rebecca Messer, and Paula (Airforce Veteran). As well as her grandchildren: David Jr., Kimberly, Megan, Matthew, Derrick, Brenna, Ben, Nick, Alexis, David, Daniel, Johnny, Owen, Jalyn, and Jaela.

Barbara was known for faithfully reading her Bible, always reading it thru and thru. She enjoyed coloring and playing bingo with her friends, and she deeply loved her family and would always ask to see her kids.

Family is inviting friends and family to a Celebration of Life on Wednesday April 6, 2022 from 6 PM - 8 PM at Edwards Funeral Service, 1166 Parsons Ave., Columbus, 43206.
