Bascom was born July 9, 1923 in Calfcreek, Kentucky to Bascom Copley Sr. and Vada Cassell. He is survived by his wife Freda Copley Hutchinson, children Brent Copley Jane, Gary Copley, Larry Copley, Denver Copley, Eddie Copley, Vada, and Earnest Brown. Sister Lella McDaniel, two grandchildre, many nieces and nephews. He preceded by both of his parents, sister Romaine, Brother Troy, Granddaughter Emily
