Brenda Joyce Caldwell

Loving mother, grandmother, Brenda Joyce Caldwell (Joyce) passed away surrounded by family, on May 22, 2023, at the age of 80. She was born April 22, 1943, in Charleston, Illinois, and lived most of her life in Columbus, Ohio.

Joyce loved children and spent most of her time making memories with them, she loved camping and family get gatherings. She loved crafts, shopping, and most of all babysitting her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbor’s kids too. She had wonderful holiday parties and her husband John loved making huge bonfires.

She was preceded in death by her parents, mother Naomi (Peak) Phillips, Father Edger (Hank) Phillips, her husband of 44 years John H. Caldwell, her sister Sandra (Joe) Sauls, her son Brian Caldwell, her granddaughter Carrie Caldwell. She is survived by her brother, Michael Phillips, sister Lucinda Lapatinsky, son Michael (Donna) Caldwell, her granddaughters Michelle Caldwell (Jesus Cazares), Chelsea Caldwell, Aubree Bretzinger, step-granddaughter Ashley Bacus (AJ Johnson) she also leaves behind 17 great-grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews, friends. She will be greatly missed.
