Cathy Ann Jones

Cathy Ann Jones. 54 of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Thursday, February 15th, 2024, after a two-year battle with lung cancer. Cathy was born in Columbus, Ohio to Connie Hall on April 30th , 1969. She loved spending time with her family, reading, going to the casino, and shopping—finding the best coupons and deals. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, wife, and friend. Cathy never knew a stranger, she made friends easily despite her introverted nature, and people gravitated to her kindness and benevolent disposition.
Cathy worked tirelessly as a mother of four, grandmother of five and a public servant. She dedicated her life to the welfare of her family, the public school
system, and causes near and dear to her heart. The last decade of her life was spent growing
and blossoming into a strong and dedicated worker despite the many challenges she faced in
her childhood and as a young adult. Cathy always persisted and rose above every obstacle in
her path, a doer until her last breath, Cathy was an inspiration. Cathy is survived by Mark Jones and their four children: Matthew (Treniese) Jones, Meagan
Jones, Chelsea (Amari) Jones, Cody (Johannah) Jones, as well as their grandchildren Amela,
Amari, Jayce, Jacobi and Jrue. She is preceded in death by her mother Connie Hall, sister-in-law Michelle Evans, and cousin
Marvin Hall.Her departure comes as a great loss and a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by her entire family
and countless others who loved her dearly. The family greatly appreciates your support during
