Chris D. Carter

CHRIS CARTER, Son of the late Joy Jael Carter Kelly and Warren Alexander, born September 8, 1958 in Bronx, NY, he was the first of four children. Chris was raised in Brooklyn, NY with his siblings by his mother and step father Calvin Kelly. He served in the US Army for a short period and also attended Job Corps in Clearfield, Utah where he acquire a building maintenance trade. Chris went on to complete culinary school and became a sue chef. Along his life?s journey, Chris lived in Boston, MA, and fathered a son, Melson Jacques. Later, he moved on to Columbus, OH were he resided for more than twenty years. While living in Ohio, Chris met Debbie Hughes and enjoyed a long term relationship of more than twenty years. Chris is survived by his life partner Debbie Hughes Carter, siblings Jewel, Rodney, and Samuel, step siblings out of Ohio, Neicy, Keicha, Debbie, Jeffery, Chris, Tasha, Maryann, Calvin, Devin, and Sabrina, also by six nephews and five nieces, and twenty nine grand nieces and nephews of his immediate siblings, a host of aunts and uncles, cousins and many other family members and friends. Chris also known as Dee, short for Dubar was an outgoing people?s person that loved his family and friends, and for all that knew him it could be said that he will be greatly missed.
