Edward Darling Bridges, Jr., "Eddie", "Mutt-Redd", was born in Atlanta, GA on December 19, 1936 to the late Jessie Mae and Edward Darling Bridges, Sr. He was called from his labor to eternal rest on November 8, 2015 at Grant Hospital.
During his career, Eddie worked many different jobs. He was honorably discharged from the United States Armya�"Airborne Division. He worked construction; he was a barber and a cook. He enjoyed working with his hands and loved taking things apart and putting them back together again. He also enjoyed fishing and watching football but he truly loved all sports. He had a quiet personality and was a very laid back type of person. In his younger days he liked working on cars and boats. He enjoyed listening to soft music. Above all things, he loved God. He will be sadly missed.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents Essie and Edward Bridges Sr., son, Edward D Bridges, III brothers, Charles Hoses Bridges and Roy Bridges.
Edward leaves to cherish his loving memory his daughters, Lisa Forrest and Monica Bridges-Bias; and son, Isaac Leon Green; brothers Tony Taylor and Isaac Bridges, sister, Mary Giles; special friend Isadora Forrest and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
