Eugene A. Eickstaedt
March 18, 1932 — August 13, 2013
Eugene "Ike" Eickstaedt, age 81, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday August 13th 2013.
He was born on March 18, 1932 in Northfield, Michigan to the late Leo and Hilda Eickstaedt. Ike served in the U.S. Navy from 1949 – 1953 as a Machinist Mate – USS Wisconsin. He retired from S. G. Hayes and Standard Oil after 21 years. He enjoyed gardening, especially cactus.
He is preceded in death by his first wife Marilyn, and his brothers Leo and Gordon. Ike is survived by this loving wife of 18 years Eva, daughters Cynthia Earl Miller, Sharon Mike Donovan, sister in law Florence Eickstaedt, grandchildren Amy Hylton, Sarah Steven Koment, Kurtis and Kyle Lee and 4 stepsons, 5 great grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Ike was under Hospice Case. Many thanks to Trisha, Amy and Angelique for their loving help and support. In Lieu of flowers please give donations in his memory to Homereach Hospice or St. John's Lutheran Church, Grove City where Ike was a member.
Memorial service will be at St. John's Lutheran Church, Saturday, September 7th at 1PM., with Pastor Ray Rosenthal Officiating.
Final Destination will be Deltona, Florida.
