Gertie Faye Blackwell, 86, of Gahanna, Ohio passed away on Friday, December 12, 2014
Gertie was born March 03, 1928 in Ovapa, WV to the late Lemon and Locie Hicks
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gahanna.
She is survived by her spouse of 67 years; James B. Blackwell, a daughter; Karen Whisman, a daughter-in-law; Janice Blackwell, four grandchildren; Diana, James, Amanda and Christina, three great-grandchildren; Dillon, Jessie, Cassie.
She is Preceded in death by a son; Michael Blackwell.
A service will be held Wednesday December 17 at 1PM in the chapel at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor, 5199 East Broad St., Columbus where Family will accept friends from 12:00 Noon until time of service. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estates. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Central Ohio Alzheimer's Association.
