Gregory (Greg) Anthony Corfios, 59, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2024. He was born on January 27, 1965, in Youngstown, Ohio, to the late Harry Corfios Jr. and Patricia (D’Amico) Corfios .A 1983 graduate of Grove City High School and Paul C. Hayes Technical School where he studied carpentry. After graduating high school, Greg attended a technical school for automotive mechanics. He spent his entire career in the Automotive industry as a master technician and skilled paint and body technician. Greg had a passion for restoring old cars and finished his career at Classic Restoration doing what he loved.
Greg was known for his infectious sense of humor and quick wit. His love for his dogs was unending. He was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan and had a long standing belief in Bigfoot! He had a devoted love for family, especially his partner, Christina Jordan. Daughter, Elaine (Matt) Moore, who was at the center of his life. Greg was a very proud grandpa-o to Bryson, Jase, Kyla Ann, and Dana, who brought him endless joy. He is also survived by his brothers; Joe Corfios and Jeff (Norina) Corfios; his nephew, Joey Corfios; nieces Ashley (Brandon) Pinkerton and Amber (Todd) Pickney; and many friends who were more like family. Greg’s family and friends will gather to celebrate his life on January 25, 2025 exact location to be determined. The family encourages loved ones to join them for this special remembrance. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice that supports amputees or research of childhood diabetes in Greg’s memory. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
