Gregory Cornell Harrison

Gregory Cornell Harrison passed away at home on April 30, 2013 at 5:14 pm at the age of 55.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Harrison; and sister, Regina Harrison.

Gregory is survived by his loving wife, Dody of 3 years. He is lovingly remembered by his son, Justin Tabatha Harrison of Parma, OH; granddaughter, Kylie Harrison; brother, Delano Harrison of Fort Worth, TX, Michael Dee-Dee Harrison-Brown and Jayson Harrison both of Youngstown, OH.

Gregory was born in Youngstown, OH on June 11, 1957. He graduated from Campbell Memorial High School in 1975 and went to earn his Bachelor in Social Work Degree from Youngstown State University on May 21, 2005 and Masters in social Work from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland on August 11, 2006. He was pursuing his doctoral in social work degree at the Ohio State University before he became ill. He was recommended to receive a Doctoral Fellowship Award from the Council on Social Work Education Minority Fellowship Programs to fund his academic interest.

Gregory was an aspiring artist and enjoyed painting, listening to jazz music, drawing, poetry writing and walking his dog, Boo.

The Memorial Service will be held at Elyria Church of God, 7942 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, OH on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 1 PM with Pastor Cody officiating. A reception will take place at the church immediately following the service. At a later date to announced, all will be invited on a drive to Edgewater Park, Cleveland in memory of Greg?s favorite place to walk his dog.
