HELEN CARROLL went home to be with the Lord on Sunday AUG 22. at home. Born JAN 7, 1924 in Johnstown, PA to the late Cameron and Marsilla Stewart. Retired from DCSC after 40 years, then worked as the EX. Secretary of ECCO Daycare and served as secretary of the Black Elected Democrats of Ohio.
Active member of the First AME Zion Church.
Preceded in death by husband Julius Carroll and 13 siblings.
Surviving to mourn her passing are children; Shaka Afatamah, Peter Kathleen, Toni Jonathan, Patti Marlon, Robbyn Clinton, 20 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Viewing 11 AM, Home Going celebration Noon at First AME Zion Church, 873 Bryden Road, Rev. Charles Tyler officiating. Interment Union Cemetery.
