Predeceased by mother; Dorothy Ramsey Payne, father; Paul Wheeler, children; Albert A Burbridge, Jr., Cathy L Burbridge, Robert A Hairston, Jr. Left to cherish her loving memory and legacy of kindness is her husband of 50 years; Robert A. Hairston, Sr., son; Robert Burbridge, daughters; Stacy Carl Slaughter, Cindy Hairston, Christy Tymar Whitsett, 19 grandchildren including 3 she and Robert raised as their own: Christopher Hairston, Derricka Richey, and Shante? Benjamin Stitt, 31 great grandchildren, cousins, extended family, very close friends, as well as special friend and assistant caregiver; Tina Phillips. Deaconess Hairston, a faithful member of Holy Temple Church of God, Inc., served for 30 years in Children?s Sunday School, Usher Board, and all things she could put her hands to. She served, served, and served the Lord with joy and gladness. ?Granny,? as she is so passionately known, understood and dwelled in the love of Jesus Christ. She loved all and was loved by all. Hilda?s husband invites you to ?The Celebration of Life and Legacy of Kindness? to honor the wife, the mother, the grandmother, the sister, and the friend, Hilda Bobbye. We will convene at Royal Kingdom Ministries, 3171 Schwartz Road, Columbus, Ohio 43232, where Hilda will lie in state Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 6 pm. until the time of service.
