Jim was born April 16, 1958 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Harold and Ethel Brodek

He is survived by his son; his siblings, Harold Jr., Paul, Nancy, Barbara, Richard, Penny, and Mark; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ethel Brodek; and two brothers, Eugene Delong and Thomas Curgers
