James Lacy Chavis

JAMES LACY CHAVIS SR. 82, passed away on Friday June 18, 2010.
He was born November 14, 1927 in North Carolina to the late Ishmond & Hattie Mae Chavis.
James was a longtime resident of the south end on Bruck & Hinkle Ave and also a member of Mountain Assembly Church of God on Reeb Ave. He was a humble and well respected man.
He is survived by 11 children and over 100 grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife of over 40 yrs, Mary Lee Chavis
A service will be held 11 AM Wednesday at the Chapel of EDWARDS FUNERAL SERVICE, 1166 Parsons Ave., Where family will receive friends from 10 AM
Interment Franklin Hills Memorial Gardens
In lieu of flowers, Family requests memorial contributions be made at the Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses
