Janet Louise Gordon, 75, passed away September 1, 2013 in Columbus, Ohio. She was born in Zanesville, Ohio on March 23, 1938 to the late Hiawatha and Frances Sims. Janet retired from the Columbus State Hospital as a Nurses' Aide. She will be missed and was loved by her family and friends.
She is survived by six children; Ronald Gordon, James E. Gordon, Janet Gordon, Crystal Gordon, Cassandra Price, and Tamika Gordon. Eight Grandchildren; Little Ronald, Patrick, Lady-Dreama, Lee, Travis, Tiffany, Layosha, and Markell. Four Great-Granchildren; Father of her Children; James H. Gordon.
Preceded in death by her son, Donald Gordon. Her sister, Ruby Sims.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the friends and staff at First Community Village for the care they provided to Janet.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 1:00PM at Edwards Funeral Service located at 1166 Parsons Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43206.
