Jeffrey Richmond Cowans, 52, passed away unexpectedly on November 25, 2012. During his lifetime he enjoyed fishing, carpentry, working on automobiles and collecting model trains. He was a loving and kind husband, father, grandfather and son. He will be dearly missed by everyone.
He was a graduate of San Marcos Job Corp in Texas with degrees in welding and auto mechanics.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife Patti J. Seward Cowans, his daughter Carolyn Cowans, his parents, Carol Richmond Burford, and step-father Ron Burford, father, Harold J. Cowans, step mother Brenda Wright Cowans. In laws, Walter and Lois Seward. Sisters, Aimee Schwab Fred, and Candacy Taylor, Brothers Timmie and Van Cowans Summer.
Five devoted sisters in law Cindy, Sharon, and Merry Seward and Toni Alberson, devoted brother in law, Walter ?Matt? Seward. Aunts, Barbara Wells, Anita Bunkley Crawford, Mary Hartzog, Tracie Batesman Dana and Uncles, Clifford Richmond and Adger Cowans. Grandchildren DaQuante, Jaiana, Kamere and Tailiyah Cowans.
He is preceded in death by Grandparents Virginia and Clifford Richmond and Adger and Beatrice Cowans, daughter Jessica Roy and granddaughter Ivey Roy.
A Celebration of his life will be held at noon on Monday December 3, 2012 at the chapel of Edwards Funeral Service, 1166 Parsons Ave., Columbus, Oh 43206, where family will receive friends from 11 am until noon.
