Jerry Martin, Jr., age 72, born September 1, 1945, in Belzoni, Mississippi, answered his ultimate call and made his transition on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at the Whitehall Manor Nursing Facility in Columbus, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Martin, Sr. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and faithful caregiver, Evelyn F. Martin; mother, Sammie Lee Martin (Belzoni Mississippi); children, Ramona R. Marton and Marlin J. Martin; step-daughter, Kimberly A. Mosley; step-granddaughter, Kristain J. England, all of Columbus Ohio; two sisters, Marjorie (Alvin) Holton (Louis, Mississippi) and Juanita (Mike) Starks (Belzoni, Mississippi); six brothers, Sammy (Jeanette) Martin (Houston Texas), Leon Martin (Belzoni, Mississippi), Willie (Michelle) Martin (Columbus, Ohio), LC (Brenda) Martin (Belzoni, Mississippi), Isaiah (Doris) Martin and Barry (Gail) Martin (Philadelphia, Mississippi); a host of nieces, nephews cousins, other relatives, and friends. At Jerry’s request, no services will be held. Cremation has been placed with the Edwards Funeral Home, Columbus, Ohio. Remains will be at Glen Rest Memorial Estate, Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
