Joan Georg

Mrs. Joan Georg, age 89, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Hospice of Central Ohio with her loving children by her side.  Joan was born on March 8, 1930 in Hooversville, Pennsylvania to the late Louis Pellatiro and Alice Hershberger.

Mrs. Georg is survived by her children, Minda (John) Bickley, of Gahanna, OH, Beverly (Tony) Gugliotta of Johnson City, TN, Diane (Keith) Wassum of Charlotte, NC; her grandchildren, Jennifer Bickley (Neale Murray), Jessica Bickley, Amy (Ben) Jones, Jill (Sam) Stroud, Kate (Matt) Simmons, Allie Wassum; her great-grandchildren, Reef Murray, Finn Murray, Mollie Murray, Brynn Simmons, Mae Jones, Bailey Jones, Thomas Jones, Emmett Jones, Brody Stroud, Emory Stroud.  She also leaves behind her much-loved nieces and nephews and several extended family members.  In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles H. Georg; her sister, Jean Thomas; her brother, Dalmain Hershberger.

A service to honor the life of Joan will be conducted 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 by Pastor Doug Warburton at Peace Lutheran Church, 455 Clark State Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230.  Family and friends may gather from 10:00 AM until the time of service Tuesday at the church.
