John Frederick Williams

John Frederick “Rick” Williams, November 5th 1957-December 19th 2024.

Rick passed away in his home on Thursday, after years of health complications from diabetes. He enjoyed scuba diving, computers, and playing hearts with his friends and children. He enjoyed life but felt deep sorrow from many losses in his life. He retired from The Ohio State University where he worked most of his life on the university computer network. He was preceded in death by his son David Frederick Williams, his brother Peter Kirk Williams, his father Frederick Carl Williams, and mother Mona Claire Bleiler Williams. He is survived by his children John (Sheri) David Douglas Williams, and grandchildren Ulysses, Leonard, and Oskar; his daughter Mary Elizabeth Watkins, and grandchildren Frederick and Felix; and his son Eric Howard Dwight Williams; and his siblings Robert Williams, Chris (Sarah) Williams, and Ann Williams.
