Who would have thought that the friend Diane (mom) was so excited to introduce to us so many years ago would have ended up being her soulmate and her best friend. Julie had the pleasure of meeting all of us at once at Diane's birthday get together at bobs bar, we were loud, we were being crazy and I'm sure pretty obnoxious, but she stuck it out. Here we are 10 years later trying to put into words how much we all love Julie and how much we are going to miss her, still in disbelief that she is actually gone.
Julie was one of the most caring and loving people we will probably ever know, she always had the biggest smile on her face that could brighten anyone's day. One thing about Julie that everyone she loved is definitely going to miss is her famous goodbye hugs and kisses, no matter how many times you came to the house that day she would darn near chase you down to make sure she kissed you goodbye lol. I know for me, leaving their house wont be the same.
Julie talked about and bragged about her son Jamie any chance she got. You'll never forget how her face lit up when she knew Jamie was on his way in town to stay with her, she could hardly contain her excitement. Jamie is so lucky to be loved as much as his mom loved him. Julie had a soft spot for all of the kids in our blinded family, even when they were being bad or doing something they shouldn't be doing they knew they could run to Julz and she would always be on their side.
One of Diane's favorite stories goes back to when Julie first moved in with her, when she walked into the house she noted out loud that the house needed some color so Julie gets one of her ideas that it would be a great idea for each of the kids to paint a wall a different color lol I bet we can all imagine how that turned out lol. it's that carefree way of life that she brought into out world that is going to be missed.
What can we do to help heal our broken hearts? I think a good start will be to imagine Julie sitting on a porch with a view of the most beautiful flowers, the sun on her skin smiling as she watches over us knowing how lucky she was in this life to be loved by so many.
Goodbye Julz, there wont be a day that goes by that we are not thinking about you, we love you.
