Julie Dexter

Julie Dexter, age 53, of Gahanna, died suddenly on October 16th. Julie was born June 21, 1959 in Bellbrook, Ohio. She also lived some time in Xenia and Columbus. Julie loved her family, children, gardening and especially big parties. Julie was employed at ARC Industries East where she was proud of her work. She was a ten year volunteer in the clubhouse at Children?s Hospital and she loved every minute of it. She was active in Special Olympics, Community Connections and Upper Arlington Adult Recreation. She also did some volunteer work at Chadwick Arboretum. Julie especially liked to dote on her housemates. She continued to give after passing by being an organ donor. Julie was a 7 year breast cancer survivor. Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Pat and Jim Dexter and nephew Jeremy Tate. She is survived by her siblings Pam and Terry Tate, Jim and Judy Dexter, Andy and Jack Crain, Dee and Mike Hively, nieces and nephews Jeff, Jim, Jacob, Josie, Jennifer, Joshua, Jessica, Megan, Garrett, Abby, Graham and their children. She is also survived by her housemates Cathy and Renee and the caring staff of OnTheMark services. Visitation will be held at Karl Road Christian Church, 5400 Karl Road on Monday, October 22nd from 4:00 ? 6:00 PM with the Memorial Service immediately following.
