Lola Ann Lawson

Lola Ann Lawson of Columbus, Ohio was born September 1, 1948 in Elyria, Ohio to Edwin and Hazel Lawson. She was a graduate of Elyria High School in Elyria, Ohio. She moved to California where she lived for many years. She eventually moved back to Ohio and settled in Columbus where she worked in the hospitality industry.

Lola accepted the Lord as her personal savior and attended Manni-fest Christian Cathedral International. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

On Friday, June 10, 2016 Lola went home to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Hazel Lawson; (2) brothers, Gary and Landon Lawson, (2) sisters, Ivra Brightwell and Wilma (Lawson) Robinson. She leaves to cherish precious memories; sons, Darryl Lawson, Sr. and Dwight Lawson, Sr. of Elyria, Ohio; daughter, Shatikia Lawson of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren/children Darryl Jr., Shativa, and Shaterris Lawson; sisters, Ola Sharp and Elizabeth Heard of Dayton, Tennessee; Hazel (Thomas) Nixon, Edwina Lawson-Johnson of Elyria, Ohio; Brenda Lawson-Harris, Gloria Lawson and Janet (Curtis) Shine of Columbus, Ohio; brothers, William C. Kenneth and Winton Lee Lawson of Tennessee; William E. (Jo'Ann) Lawson of Columbus, Ohio; Walter (Jean) Lawson and Roy Lawson of Elyria, Ohio; (15) grandchildren, (17) great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Edwards Funeral Service Chapel, 1166 Parsons Avenue, Columbus, OH 43206, on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 1 PM where family will accept friends from 12 PM until time of service. Officiated by Bishop Ronnie K. Reed.
