Mrs. Mary Kathrine Turner "Everything that happens in the world, happens at the time God chooses." Ecclesiastes 3:1 On November 24, 1931 in New York, New York Mary K. Turner was born. She was the second born child of Everett and Ada Davis, after the passing of her mother at the age of 5, she was raised in Columbus, Ohio by her aunt Mrs. Carrie E. Nickson. Mary and John M. Turner, Sr. were united in marriage on December 24, 1950. They remained in their union serving the Lord for 63 years. From this union Mary raised 6 children. John Terri Turner, James Turner deceased, Ronald Chong Cha Turner, EyVonne Ernest Smith, Eyvette Turner, Eynette Bailey. Mary joined the West Orlando church of Christ in 1986. Upon returning to Columbus, Ohio Mary became a member of the Watkins road church of Christ where she served faithfully. Mary received her LPN Certification in 1975 after completing her Medical Assistant Certification. She enjoyed caring for her patients at Mercy Hospital, St. Anthony's Hospital and Private Duty Practice to complete her career. Mary was a staple in many organizations. To mention a few: United Methodist Women, President of Gold Star Mother's Kentucky/Ohio chapter, Clair United Methodist Church Outreach Director, Southfield Women Auxiliary, Co-Founder of Grace E. Stewart Circle of Clair and the Eastern Star. Mary took care of her grandmother, father and brother until their home going. She was a very loving person, who loved her children, grandchildren, great-grand children and great great grand child. Mary was a very special person to all, especially to a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
