Michael Kwaku Boadi Oppong lovingly called "Secret" was born on April 22, 1965 to Kofi Oppong Brenya and Abena Sika. His father Kofi was a carpenter and his mother was a business woman. Michael was born in Jacobu, in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He left us suddenly on March 8, 2014.
Michael attended Mfatsipim secondary school where he studied business management He taught at Poano L/A Middle School for one year before leaving Ghana and moving to Garbon, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea and Japan. He lived in Japan for about five years before moving to the United States. He first settled in Akron, Ohio. He then moved to the Bronx, New York where he lived for several years. He then returned to Ohio where he lived in Columbus.
He was preceded in death by both his parents, Kofi Oppong Brenya and Abena Sika, one sister Naomi Oppong, and one brother Joseph Ayeboafa Oppong.
He leaves to mourn two children Maami Sika Oppong of Culpepper Virginia and Asamoah Oppong of New York; four brothers, David Oppong of Accra Ghana, Andrew Oppong Brenya Monique of East Windsor NJ, Evans Oppong of Accra Ghana, and Steward Harrison Oppong Melina of Warsaw Poland; three sisters, Beatrice Bentsil-Enchill Kojo Cape-Coast Ghana, Ama Antwiwaa Samuel and Rosemary Oppong both of Accra Ghana. He also leaves a host of family and friends.
