Paul Edward Sweazy Jr., 93, passed away on March 1, 2024. He retired from Buckeye Steel
Castings after 33 years as a pattern maker. A highly intelligent man, he enjoyed sports, reading,
teasing family members and was an avid car enthusiast always ready with an article to show
you about the latest gadget. As a tinkerer and wood worker, he once built a home-made
hovercraft and over the years he built several pieces of furniture that are still used by family
members and friends. He never met a stranger. 702 from your loving family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Alice (Weintritt) Sweazy, daughters Judy (Jan),
Kate (Steve) Stevens, Melinda Orr, and son Steve Sweazy. Many grandchildren, great-
grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and family. Preceded in death by sons Bobby, Fred
(Mary), Pete, son-in-law James Orr and brother Bill Sweazy. Cremation Edwards Funeral Home.
A Celebration Mass will be held on Thursday March 14, 2024, 11:00am at Our Lady of Sorrows
Chapel, on the grounds of St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 S. High Street Columbus.
