Peter Michael Mayes

Peter “Mikey” Mayes, age 42, passed away peacefully and comfortably at Doctors West Hospital on December 24, 2019. He was born in Columbus Ohio to Patricia Sue Mayes and James Glad Steward on December 12, 1977.

Peter leaves behind his son, Michael Brumfield; His sisters, Linda Mayes, Sharon Mayes, and Angie Mayes; His brother, James Mayes. Peter also leaves many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews all of whom he helped raise and loved dearly. His life was devoted to caring for his family. He had a special bond with his best bud, Jaywann. His favorite pastimes included listening to his nephews Jason and Corey’s music and watching his favorite football teams, the Raiders and the Buckeyes.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Sue Mayes and his great niece, Lily Mayes.

The family will be holding a memorial at a later time. Edwards Funeral Service, 1166 Parsons Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43206 is serving the family.
