Raymond Leslie Fooce, age 89, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Doctors West Hospital in Columbus. He was born in Gallia, Ohio on August 13, 1930 to the late Arthur Leslie Fooce and Mary L. Capps. Raymond proudly served in the U.S. Army for nine years. He served his country during the Korean War. He was also stationed in Germany where he enjoyed going to the many different biergarten’s and in England where he stood watch at the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace. Above all else, Raymond was a loving, doting father. For him, his family always came first.
Raymond is survived by his children, Jacquelin “Jackie” (Robert “Robbie”) Thompson, Geoffrey “Geoff” (Sharalyn) Fooce, Lynda Fooce, and Debra “Debbie” Fooce; Siblings, Viola Sowards, Larry Fooce, Chuck Fooce, and Cathy Williams; Grandchildren, Geoff Fooce, Nikki Fooce, Brett Fooce, JC Fooce, Sherry Ingram, Amanda Tresmer, Courtney Fooce, Tiffany Fooce. He was blessed with many great- grandchildren. He also leaves behind Donna Allen who gave him many years of happiness.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Harold Capps; Sister, Betty Patrick and brothers, Dave and Jr. Fooce; Grandson, Wade Fooce.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of military honors at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 13, 2019 at Edwards Funeral Service, 1166 Parsons Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43206.
