REX COTTRILL was called home after a long and courageous battle with lung and heart diseases on July 11, 2013. He was born May 9, 1931 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Rex L. and Frances Byers Cottrill, Sr. Mr. Cottrill is a former Upper Arlington Police Officer and served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean conflict. He is survived by wife; Margaret Ann, children; Marcia Willmarth, Robin Robert Van Wyck Cottrill, Mindy Dennis Graul, Dane Cottrill, Leanne Poor, grandchildren; Brooke Willmarth, Corinne Darryl Williams, Kristina Bjorn Gunnlaugsson, Matthew, Meghan, and Mackenzie Graul, Beverly Jared Noble, Daniel Cottrill, Robin Cottrill, and Jake Poor and nine great grandchildren, Brother; James Irene Cottrill, Sisters; Libby Frank Woods, Pat Jim Neumayer, brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Wes and Donna Hamler and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by a sister; Louisa Thompson and a brother; Bill Cottrill

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday July 16 at 1 PM at the Groveport Presbyterian Church, 275 College St., Groveport, Oh 43125 where family will receive friends from noon until the start of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Groveport Presbyterian Church.
