Richard Wiley Stinespring , 67, from Columbus, Ohio, passed away June 20, 2012.
Richard was born Sept. 24, 1944, in Parkersburg, W.Va. He was preceded in death by his mother, May Abbie Fetty; father, Wilbert Clarence Stinespring; and brother, Marvin Dewey Stinespring. He had three sons, Darrell, Shane and Brent Stinespring; and eight grandchildren. He is survived by sister, Carol Jones; brother, the Rev. Wilbert Stinespring; sisters, Wanda Wayne and Lena Minney; and best friend, Michael Puleo.
Richard graduated from Parkersburg High School, attended Kentucky Mountain Bible Institute and graduated from Laurel University of Greensboro North Carolina.
Richard has touched many lives with his wonderful acts of kindness. He had a ministry with the homeless. He worked with different Salvation Army Shelters. He faithfully supported an orphanage in Bungoma Kenya. He was a gifted organist and pianist. His yard was a work of art and admired by many.
A memorial service will be held Friday, July 6, 2012, at 7 p.m. at Red Hill United Methodist Church in Parkersburg, W.Va.
