Robert "BJ" Floyd

Robert "BJ" Floyd, 66 of Columbus OH, passed February ,28 ,2015 with his Family by his side. BJ was the son of the late Robert Lee Floyd and Dorothy M Floyd. He passed away at his home in Columbus after a long battle with a debilitating stroke. He is survived by his mother Dorothy M Floyd, his stepmother Ollie Floyd, sister Roberta, brothers, David, Anthony, Billy, Chuck, Tony, Gary, family friend Sherry, two uncles Reverends James (Dorothy) and Philip (JoAnn) Lawson, and a host of cousins, nephews, and nieces. BJ worked in Central Control at Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center Columbus, Ohio and retired from there after 27 plus years of service Although working at Franklin County JDC was his job , his passion was being a mechanic, He loved football, basketball, was an avid reader, chest player, great conversationalist, avid photographer, tailor, and great over all athlete. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Services will be held Saturday March 14 at 2.00PM at Centenary United Methodist Church, 2048 Denune avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43211. Cremation has occurred, all arrangements handled by Edwards Funeral Service.
