Rodriguzz Head-Harvey, (Duke) as he was so lovingly called by all his friends and family, was born in Columbus, Ohio on 06/17/1997 to Denise Head and Frank Harvey. Gone too soon, Duke, after fulfilling his earthly duties, departed this life on April 18, 2020 at 2:01 pm. He was 23 years old.
In his younger years Duke attended Columbus Schools such as Hamilton Elementary, Africentric Middle and He graduated from Focus Learning Academy East. Because he was an exceptional young man, school did not stop him from working around the neighborhood. At an early age Duke was mature before his time. When he was eight years old, he became a young entrepreneur cutting the neighbors grass and doing other little odd jobs. There is nothing that he would not do to ensure other’s needs were met. His first real job, however, was working at St. Stephen Community Center, but before long he moved on to other jobs. For instance, he was working at Rals Kon and with his Uncle Carlos and he was doing quite well for himself.
Duke’s mother Denise, saw to it from the time of his birth that he attended church. He was a devoted member of Promise Land Believers Fellowship Assembly Worldwide under the leadership of Bishop Forest Rhoades. Duke genuinely loved the Lord and was a member of the Promise Land Youth Choir and served on the Young Peoples Usher Board. His other activities besides singing for the Lord was football, rap, video games, playing tonk and any other card games, eating, fixing cars and just having a good time with his dogs, friends and family. There is a lot of things we will remember about Duke like his favorite color was yellow, his infectious smile, but most of all the love he had for his Mother and other family members.
He is preceded in death by his Great-grandmother Minister Geneva Ford and his Grandma Rachel Head. He leaves to cherish his memory his son Kylen Head, Mother Denise Head, Father Frank Harvey, Sister Devinia Harvey and Ray, Brother De’Anglo Head, Niece Damyhar Harvey, Grandfather Hennery L. Broughton. Many uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and other loved ones.
