Ruth O Neal

Ruth Ola (Walker) Neal passed peacefully to join Our Lord and Savior on December 21, 2018 after a brief hospitalization.

Ruth was born May 1, 1929 in Manning, South Carolina.

She is preceded in death by beloved husband, Willie Lee Neal; parents, James Cohen and Cecilia Edelle (Miller) Walker; brothers, Alton, Claudius, Milton, and Linwood; sisters, Mary Ida and Narcissus.

Ruth is survived by her caring children, Cynthia Renee (Jayms McKinney), Toni Edelle, and Wilbert Donovan (Marty Willow) Neal; siblings, Persephone and Edwin; grandchildren, Danielle, David, Jeremy, Jameel, Khalil, Chayton, Noah, and Rachel; great-grandson, Miles; along with many nieces, nephews, and long-time friends particulary from DSCC and Bethany Presbyterian Church.

A funeral service will be held Friday, January 4, 2019 at Edwards Funeral Service Chapel, 1166 Parsons Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43206 at 1 PM where family will accept friends from 12 PM until time of service. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, 1000 Greenlawn Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43223.
