Sandra K. Johnson

Sandra Kay Johnson, age 71, passed away on February 13th at Villa Angela Nursing Home in Columbus, Ohio where she had been cared for for the past 3 years. Sandra was the daughter of the late Paul and Beatrice Maynard of Borderland, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer D. Johnson and brother, Paul Maynard. She is survived by three sons, Thomas D. Johnson, of Plain City, OH, Robert D. Johnson and Steven G. Johnson of Columbus Ohio, one sister, Diane Mahar of Leesburg, Florida and two brothers Larry Maynard of Borderland, West Virginia and Johnny Maynard of Wirtz, Virginia. Sandra had four grandchildren, three great-grand children and one great-great grandchild. She graduated with honors as valedictorian of Chattaroy High School where she received many awards and participated in many clubs including the Presidents Club, National Honor Society, Chattaroy Newsletter and a member of the cheerleading squad. Sandra was a member of the Church of Christ of both, Columbus, Ohio and Williamson, West Virginia. The Johnson family will be having a short graveside service at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 18th, at Mountain View Memory Gardens in Maher, West Virginia where she is to be buried. Services will be conducted by Rev. Ron Gillum and Rev. Rudy Spencer. All those who knew and remember her are welcome.
