Shirley Judson, 75. Passed peacefully Sept. 3, 2020 at Hospice of Dayton.
Shirley was born in Steubenville, Ohio on October 21, 1944. One of her greatest achievements was being awarded the first John Phillip Sousa Award in music at Jefferson Union High School. Later in life, Shirley obtained her degree from Riverside Community College. She then returned to Ohio where she lived the remainder of her life close to friends and family. Shirley had many passions including music, crafting, and attending church. Her legacy is one of compassion and she dedicated her entire life to serving God.
Shirley is preceded in death by the love of her life, Raymond Judson. She is survived by her sister, Karen (Dennis) Staley, brother William “Bill” (Phyllis) Dreyer, Peggie (John) Palmer. Shirley is also survived by four beloved daughters, Summea (Jerry) James, Karen (Michael) Jenkins, Bobbi (Robert) Maloy, Kasey (William “Bill”) Cooper and loving step-children David Judson, Katheryn (Judson) Campbell, LaVerne (Judson) Oarth, and Judy Judson. Shirley had 28 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren whom were her pride and joy.
Visitation will be held from 2p-3pm on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020 at The Apostolics of Xenia church located at 978 US-42, Xenia, Ohio 45385 with a Celebration of Life beginning at 3pm. Committal will be held privately at Silent Home Cemetery in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
