Honoring Mickey
Theordore J Stroble "Mickey" 91yrs 8-2-23 to 4-6-15
Born in Madison Ohio to Cleo & Ted Stroble. He was one of 7 children. Two surviving: Bula (Bud) Gill & Laney (Barb) Stroble. Moved to central Ohio & graduated from Commercial Point high school. He met & married Betty Stephenson, had 3 children: Becky Browning (Harry), Mike (Dianne) & Steven (Lisa).
He was a WWII Vet, 454 Bomb Sq. 323rd Bomb Gp, T-Sgt. He flew in the lower gunners bubble in a B17. He was pronounced dead when his plane crashed landed with no landing gear. Later when digging to get them out he was found alive in an air pocket.
True fan of NASSCAR. Member of the Stroble Racing Team at Columbus Motor Speedway. He retired from OSU working as an engineer.
Along the way he had 10 grandchildren & 16 great grandchildren. He had a full life, you could say he did it his way, ending it by donating his body to the OSU Medical Center. He will be cremated with his ashes put into the ocean at the same place as his wife Betty's. Thank you to all Friends & Family
