William Gerald Romine Sr. 71 of Columbus, Ohio went to be with our Lord and Savior at 05:30 a.m. on September 13th, 2009. <P> William Bill was born in Rendville, Ohio on February 8, 1938. Bill was a hard working man that displayed many talents. In his early year?s Bill worked as a Service Station Attendant and Automotive Mechanic before taking a position with the City of Columbus as a road maintenance crew member where he learned and performed concrete and asphalt paving repair work before ultimately becoming the city?s number one heavy machinery tire repair man. Bill was honored as one of the city?s top employee?s and awarded employee of the month several times. Culminating a career that spanned over 28 years. Bill retired from the city back in 1997 and began to enjoy the simpler things in life hobbies, hunting, fishing, watching Ohio State Buckeye?s Football, and playing the Lotto Pick 3, that he loved. <P> Bill is survived by his children; Cheryle Y. Edwards Milton of Columbus, WG Romine II Orvella of Kansas, Thomas D. Romine Jaimie of Utah, Kamala R. Fisher Thomas of Columbus, Anna Romine of Columbus, Melissa Romine of Columbus and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. <P> Bill was preceded in death by his parents Robert Lee Romine Sr., and Goldie Mae Hughes Romine. His siblings Evelyn Early Romine, Isabelle Peyton Romine, Harold Romine, Edgar Romine, Robert Lee Romine Jr., Margaret Wade Romine, and Neval Williams. Bill?s first wife Rosa A. Dexter/Romine Jackson, and son Robert L. Romine, his second wife Shirley A. Dickerson/Pingledis Romine and son Scott A. Romine.
